Sunday 27th April 2025 is World Nyckelharpa Day
So it’s time to get the date in the diary and start planning.
You can celebrate however you want! But there are some things we can do as a global community.
The Global Mosaic – this year we have a new Byss-Calle tune found by Torbjörn Näsbom. It’s not in the 57! Play this at midday either UK time or your time and feel the air reverberate around the globe as we all play together! Film yourself playing this tune so we can edit it together into a large global mosaic. The guide video is up – so you can get your video in straight away!
The World Nyckelharpa Day Global Zoom Cafe – this worked so well in 2024 that we thought we’d do it again! So in addition to the usual YouTube playlist we’re going to open up a Zoom Meeting. We plan on having several different rooms. One for coffee and chat, one for general playing and sharing of tunes and one for workshops and concerts. So if you’d like run a workshop or give a concert get in touch!
