Team World Nyckelharpa Day

It’s time again to celebrate the nyckelharpa! As in previous years, World Nyckelharpa Day will take place on the Sunday closest to the birthday of the great nyckelharpa player Byss-Calle.
This means that on the 23rd of April, it’s once again time to show the world the beauty of the nyckelharpa!

You can do so in any way you want: post a photo of your instrument, create a music video, organize a livestream or grab the chance that real-life events are finally possible again in many parts of the world and organize a local concert, a workshop or a nyckelharpa party. In any case, let us know what you’re up to so we can announce it on our website worldnyckelharpaday.com! And don’t forget to post about your activities on social media using the hashtag #worldnyckelharpaday!

This year’s global tune is the groovy waltz “Spikens Vals” from Västmanland, Sweden. Anyone can join in! The official play along will be at midday (UK time) on the 23rd.
